Cut-Out Patching

Cut-out patching is the most thorough repair method for severe damage, especially when the base has been compromised. This process involves saw cutting the perimeter of the damaged area, removing and disposing of the old asphalt, and properly preparing the base. The area is re-raked, compacted to a firm surface, and all vertical edges are treated for proper adhesion. Fresh ½” hot mix asphalt is then installed, graded to the correct height, and compacted with a two-ton roller to ensure long-lasting performance.

Mill Patching

Mill patching offers a cost-effective alternative that still delivers strong results. This method involves milling the damaged area to a depth of 2 inches, removing the debris, and installing new hot mix asphalt. The new material is compacted to create a smooth, durable surface. With no saw-cut seams to maintain and deeper milling than many competitors (who often only mill at 1”), this option provides excellent value and long-term reliability.

Infrared Patching

Infrared patching is ideal for seamless repairs. This method heats the existing asphalt so it can be reworked and blended with new material, eliminating visible seams and creating a uniform finish. It’s a great solution for smaller areas and surface-level damage where appearance matters.
